Mi historia Snap
Hi, my name is Cosmo. Because of a recent ski injury, I don’t have any control of my legs. Every day in rehab after the accident, I would wake up and just try to get back to independence. Before I got injured, I was working out every day. I wanted to continue, but I didn’t know how. Thankfully, the Snap Fitness Houghton owners and I inspected every piece of equipment in the gym to figure out how I could still do as many workouts as possible. The main reason I became a member at Snap Fitness was accessibility. Any gym can be the most accessible gym physically, but sometimes you really do just need some help. When I come here, there’s a community of people who are willing to do almost anything to help me, and that’s what I consider accessible.
Hi my name's Keegan I'm 34 years old and I've lost 114 kilos. Basically, I was your typical average Joe sitting on the couch loved my hot chips and ice cream, and pretty much was you know wasting away my life doing nothing. What was the reason I made my change was the fact that I was big, I needed to do something with my life, I needed to make a difference, I needed to make a change. I signed up for the Snap Fitness 8 Week Challenge and it changed my Life! The transformation changed my life. It's changed dramatically from anywhere from health and fitness through to my family life Without Snap Fitness I wouldn't have got to my goal.
Alexa S. is a Snap Fitness member because health and fitness have taken on a new meaning for her.
Alexa has always been an athlete; she grew up in gymnastics and enjoying water sports. She was even a professional wakeboarder! “Continuing that athleticism and that fitness is a huge part of my life for mental health, physical health and spiritual health,” says Alexa.
Alexa has also been living Leukemia for 15 years. Living with cancer poses several extra challenges for her, which is a major reason she prioritizes maintaining her health and body.
Transitioning from her daily training as a wakeboarder to working out in the gym was a bit of challenge at first, but Alexa says she grew to love it.
"Now I need the gym, I need it for my mental and physical health, so I love going. It’s almost like church for me,” Alexa shares. She adds that all kinds of people could get the same benefits she sees from her time at Snap Fitness. “You don’t have to be an athlete to get into the gym and feel good. It’s so important for people of all backgrounds and experience levels to get in there and move. It’s about what it does for your life outside of the gym.”
